Passover (Pesach) is the annual festival commemorating Israel’s exodus from Egypt. YHWH passed over the houses of the Israelites marked with lamb’s blood, striking the firstborn of Egypt (Exod 12:12-13). The feast of unleavened bread accompanies Passover for seven days (Exod 12:15-20).
