Kadesh (Kadesh-barnea) is the wilderness oasis where Israel camped at the edge of Canaan. The twelve spies were sent from here (Num 13:26), and Israel’s rebellion led to 40 years of wandering. Moses struck the rock at Kadesh and was denied entry to Canaan (Num 20:1-13).
